Queensland Performing Arts Centre Job Recruitment For Stage Door Concierge – Australia
Job Title: Stage Door Concierge
Location: Brisbane, Australia
An exceptional opportunity currently exists for a suitably experienced individual to join our Visitor Services team in the casual role of a Stage Door Concierge.
Reporting to the Manager – Visitor Services and Security, you will be responsible for providing high quality customer service and information to the general public, patrons, venue hirers, artists and internal Business Units both in person, online and via the telephone.
You will also undertake the role of Communications Officer in the event of the activation of the Emergency Management Plan and provide a duty of care to all stakeholders & guests, which include ensuring access through Stage Door is provided to authorised people only.
To be successful for this role you will be highly motivated and have strong customer services, communication and presentation skills with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of the community. You will also possess:
- Demonstrated exceptional prioritisation, organisational skills, sound decision-making ability and the capacity to exercise initiative and judgement to ensure patron and employee welfare is protected.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and multi-task a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to liaise and build rapport with a variety of people and respond appropriately and professionally to verbal or written enquiries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and understanding of venue procedures.
The successful applicant must possess a current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain), and provide the following nationally endorsed first aid unit/s of competency from an RTO:
- Provide first aid.
- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The flexibility to work across a 7-day roster is required including day, evening and weekend shifts to meet operational demands. As a minimum requirement to meet business needs, applicants must be available for a minimum of one (1) shift on a Wednesday and one (1) shift on a Saturday. Casual employees must be available for a minimum of two (2) shifts per month on a Saturday evening.
