Job Title: Medical Assistance Coordinator
Location: Sydney North Shore & Northern Beaches, Australia

We are currently looking for an experienced client and customer driven individual to join our Medical Assistance Operations team in Sydney.

The role will sit in our team of Medical Assistance Coordinators. These roles provide crucial support to our clients who need medical assistance, repatriation, or evacuation from anywhere in the world.

This is a role where no one day is the same. It is both challenging and rewarding in equal measure. In this role you will be making a real difference at often a distressing time.

The role does include shifts on a rotational basis which includes weekends. You will be rewarded for this with a great place to work, development opportunities, full training, a supportive environment and a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Supporting our members and customers with their healthcare and security needs
  • Answering high volume of calls from our members and customers travelling and working abroad
  • Communicating professionally, employing excellent listening skills
  • Identifying the nature of the member’s problem through effective questioning and listening.
  • Be responsive and empathetic to the needs of the individual.
  • Providing suitable alternatives and direction to clients to help resolve their problem. Thinking outside the box for solutions
  • Maintaining and managing excellent communication with our clients
  • Referring cases outside own level of authority upwards following the correct escalation process.
  • Adhering to procedures and aware of all schemes managed
  • Processing and analysing information to diagnose problems and asses the needs of the client.
  • Accurately maintaining information captured from our members and managed in our case handling system.
  • Delivering service to agreed service levels and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with a team of doctors, nurses and security experts to deliver excellent assistance and support

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Effective time management skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise
  • Can do,will do attitude.
  • Passion for helping people
  •  Focused behavioural style compatible to the Collinson Group business ethos
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and resolve them. Thinking “outside the box” for solutions.
  • Medical Assistance experience including servicing direct corporate clients desirable
  • Experience in a customer service role would be beneficial
  • Past studies, or an interest in travel, languages and culture, healthcare, international/global relations, logistics or geography may be beneficial
  • Fluent in English and Japanese. Fluency in other languages an asset but not essential
