Bible Society of Nigeria Recruitment is to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier
Location: Wuse Zone 5, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Job

  • To ensure that all cash and cheque transactions are appropriately handled and accounted for Cash received or disbursed are supported by documents and daily banking is done for all cash received.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving cash remitted by the front office.
  • Cash lodgment in the bank.
  • Posting of guest bills through excel and sage applications.
  • Cash composition and analysis, periodically sending of income and expenditure reports.
  • Sending of occupancy reports daily and weekly.
  • Keeping inventory and issuance of store items.
  • Request for cash advance for the purchase of store items.
  • Request for reimbursement for imprest and giving of detailed report during retirements.
  • Sending and receiving of official mails.
  • Monitoring of items usage in the stores.
  • Handling of petty transactions.
  • Carry out other responsibilities assigned by the manager while maintaining professional composure always.

Educational Qualification

  • Ordinary Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration or Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years cognate experience.

Skills Required:

  • Good numerical skills
  • Time management skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Attention to details and good interpersonal communication (written and verbal communication).
