Job Summary:
At Altair Engineering, we have a solid meshing development group, which develops algorithms for tetraherdral, hexahedral meshers, surface wrapping. Seeking a candidate who can be part of this group and extend current capabilities and develop new algorithms to satisfy customer requirements from different verticals like aerospace, automotive. Work location is flexible.
What You Will Do:
- Develop new meshing algorithms for 3D meshing, surface wrapping (Hexa hedral, Polyhedral, Trimmed).
- Extend and maintain existing meshing algorithms.
- Do literature review and come up techniques and algorithms which can be applied to use cases.
- Implement parallel and distributed memory algorithms to speed up meshing modules.
- Apply machine learning to train meshing engines
- Help out fixing customer critical blocker issues.
What You Will Need:
Basics:
- Hands on experience in coding preferably in C++ and Python
- PhD or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience
- Good knowledge of computer algorithms.
- Good mathematics and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of meshing algorithms.
- Experience in Parallel processing preferable.
- Ability to do independent research with little or no supervision.
- Good communication skills and effectively work as a part of a team.
