Full Job Description

Due to growth, our corporate HQ office in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role is responsible for the manual invoicing of fees for various locations. This role will maintain a record of all communications with those locations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist applies all payments received using Salesforce and Great Plains researching any payment differences. Provide Accounts Receivable reporting to let the locations know which invoices are outstanding.

Primary Job Functions

Paper Bills

• Create manual invoices in Great Plains, mainly Tax related. Print and send the invoices to the clients
• Ensure the GL codes and commission percentages are accurate
• Update and maintain vendor database

Process Payments

• Process checks, ACH payments and wires for a multi entity company
• Apply cash in Great Plain
• Enter and Reconcile payments in Salesforce
• Research any unknown payments to identify the location/client
• Identify, research, and provide resolution for account or payment discrepancies/ questions

Banking

• Go into the office as required (at least once a week) to process any checks received
• Create deposit slips by Revenue Type and complete the banking
• Balance each posted batch to ensure the postings are accurate and reconciled to the bank statements
• Scan checks and statements

Accounts Receivable Reporting

• Compile and distribute AR reports bi-monthly to various locations
• Answer any questions related to invoice payment status

Reconciliations

• Reconcile Great Plains General Ledger accounts as assigned

New team integration 

• Assist acquisitions with the WEG invoicing requirements and process

Other duties:

• Update & create desk procedures for your responsibilities
• Assist with getting Insurance statements as required

• Projects as assigned
• Provide cover for other Revenue Team Members when they are out of the office

Education / Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years in a related accounting role
• Knowledge of Salesforce and Great Plains a plus
• Inter-personal and communication skills working with people at all levels
• Ability to work independently
• Analytical – Problem solving abilities
• Organized and able to prioritize work
• Strong computer, typing, and 10-key skills
